Dripless Shaft Seals
SureSeal
With hundreds of thousands of units sold, Tides Marine SureSeal self-aligning dripless shaft seals are used by more US pleasure boat builders than any other. The new Tides Marine SureSeal Series Dripless Shaft Seals has redefined the standard, offering numerous shaft seal design and performance improvements.Made from a new fibre-reinforced composite material, the housing is stronger, smaller and more durable than its predecessor. Dimensionally unaffected by temperature changes, the SureSeal will not absorb water.
SeriesOne
Designed for stainless steel propeller shafts for smaller boats, the SeriesOne shaft seal is available in 7/8", 1", 1 1/8", and 1 1/4" sizes. For metric applications, SeriesOne® is available in 25mm and 30mm sizes. The SeriesOne’s one-piece body, made of complex composite material, allows the bearing surface to provide long life and a stable performance platform for the lip seal. The body material does not absorb water and is temperature resistant.The SeriesOne shaft seal is available for single engine applications only. For Twin engines, the SureSeal is the product of choice.
Rudder Bearings

Marine manufactures a wide variety of rudder bearings, rudder sleeves,
rudder bars, rudder tubes and rudder ports (with and without seals).
This product line provides builders, engineers, naval architects and
repair facilities with solutions to most any problem they may encounter.Most
of these Rudder Bearing products are precision-machined from UHMW-PE,
an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. UHMW is extremely durable,
abrasion resistant and does not absorb water. It's coefficient of
friction, when water-lubricated, approximates that of Teflon in these
bearing products.The Tides' designs can be
used in fibreglass, steel and aluminium vessels and are installed as
standard equipment in a variety of vessels including; sport boats, work
boats, sport fishermen and mega-yachts in excess of 150'.
