TBS Durable Deck Coverings
TBS - Tried and Tested Resistance
TBS offer a whole range of coverings to fit all kinds of boats - cruising, racing, motor, sailing, passenger ships, etc. These top-of-the-range coverings are available in three thicknesses to suit all types of installation; 1, 1.6 and 2.1mm, as well as three grades of grit granules; fine, medium and hard.
The full range of TBS coverings provide unparalleled resistance and non-slip qualities, even in the most extreme conditions, for maximum crew safety, operational life span and comfort. TBS deck covering’s low thermal conductivity helps to reduce differences in temperature through the deck, thus inhibiting the process of condensation. They also possess inherent sound absorbing qualities, creating a significant reduction in noise to those below deck as sudden shocks are absorbed and vibrations diminished, especially when crew are manoeuvring directly above.
TBS 21
TBS 21 is an elastomeric polyurethane, non slip covering with ‘medium’ grade granules which is recommended for high traffic areas, passenger ships and heavy use pleasure boats. In its standard version it is ideal for treating large surfaces i.e. decks, gangways, cockpits etc. The self-adhesive version is perfect for smaller, smooth surfaces such as panels, stem fittings, and stair nosing.
TBS 10
TBS 10 is a flexible elastomeric polyurethane complex pre-bonded to an adhesive film. It’s fine, non slip covering of "sand granules" and strong adhesive means it can be used on plexiglass, gelcoat, aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel and varnished wood.
TBS 16
TBS 16 is an elastomeric polyurethane complex, which is very flexible and covered with fine grade granules. It is a comfortable, non-slip covering, soft to touch, and is recommended for high traffic areas. TBS 16 is comfortable even under bare feet.
The standard version is designed to treat large surfaces, i.e. polyester, wood or aluminium decks. A self-adhesive version is also available in order to treat smaller, smooth surfaces such as varnished wood, plexiglass, gelcoat, aluminium, stainless steel and galvanized steel.
