Protect-Tapes
Protest Tapes are a broad range of protective tapes for racing, cruising and super yachts.
A combination of unique technical film expertise, adhesive know-how and sailing experience has developed the leading line in yachting protection tapes available today.
Now the market leader, and supplier to most professional yacht racing teams, and to professional riggers, mast manufacturers and sail makers.
Used by the 2010 Moth Word Champion, the BMW Oracle Racing Team and Alinghi 5, Extreme 40 and Ocean multihulls, RC44 and IMOCA, Olympic crews and V70s as well as super yachts and experienced crusiers.
Used to reduce the wearing of shrouds and runners during mast rotation and other areas of chafe. Used extensively to pretect composite standing rigging from rope friction.
Protect Mask
A highly tensilised skived PTFE backed with a high temperature silicone adhesive. Low friction cefficient - so slick even a gecko can't stick on it. Used to protect running rigging, bobstays and strops, standing rigging, stays and runners, all uneven or irregular surfaces, stopping build-up.
Protect Interior
A foam PE with a removable acrylic non-residue adhesive. Designed to protect delicate interiors during racing, cruising, delivery of construction.
Protect Wrap
A self-amalgamating polyisobutylene tape that stretches and sticks to itself and forms a strong waterproof bond without leaving sticky stains. Narrow tape is ideal for rigging screws, terminals and electrics; wide tape perfect for an instant-welding mast collar that will not leak.
Protect Chafe
Is pressure-sensitive, very tough and highly resistant to corrosive chemicals. Self-lubricating and highly-resistant to abrasion (15 times more resistant than carbon steel). Used for dragging lines, mooring ropes, mast and spreaders, block and deck hardware pads, dagger boards and sails,.
Protect Headfoil
is specialy designed to protect plastic or metallic headfoils from abrasion of spinnaker and guy sheets. Available is two strengths for smaller and larger boats. Die cut to fit standard headfoil systems, and can be made to order for non-standard sizes.
