NS350Novasail

As accurate and reactive as any standard magnetic compass, the NS350 offers performance and robustness. The unit does not require frequent re-calibration, unlike the vast majority of commonly available electronic compasses.

The NS350 also includes a race timer, adjustable from 1 minute to 9 minutes, and has a loud audible signal. Compact and intuitive, the NS350 is made of bombproof polycarbonate and anodized aluminium, making it waterproof and robust and undeniably stylish.

The NS360 is a revolutionary tactical speedo-compass, which provides users with all the features of a complete racing instrument suite: speedometer, compass, wind shift indicator, VMG, distance, speed and direction to waypoints, distance to the start line, and race timer.

Accurate speed reading is made possible due to recent improvements in GPS technology, combining super-accurate positioning (within 50 centimeters) with half second refresh times.

Once the wind direction is set, the wind shift indicator provides tactical indications on wind heading and lift, both upwind and downwind, on the best moment to tack and jibe.

And now the latest: the Novasail NS360 RC - Wireless

Novasail NS360RC

As a complete racing system derived from the NS360 technology, which includes a GPS speedo, magnetic compass, wind shift indicator, race timer and all other essential race functions (VMG, distance to the start line), the new NS360RC features a wireless and real-time communication transceiver offering a wide range of new functions and applications:

All this with one single standard AA battery for 30 hours of use!

On board: While all functions of the NS360RC are accessible, the wireless dongle connected to your computer links navigation and tactical software, such as MaxSea, using an NMEA interface.
After sailing: Up to 500 hours of recording can be tracked on Google Earth, TCReplay and VisualSail

In addition, thanks to the Novasail PC applet, the NS360RC can be used as a portable GPS. Latitude and longitude coordinates of 99 waypoints are captured, with their name and description, then transmitted from the computer to the NS360RC.

These functions, ideal for racing, make the NS360RC particularly suitable for sport boats looking for an enhanced performance with a full system but light and inexpensive electronics on board.

The NS360RC is the only product in this price range with an integrated real magnetic tactical compass and a wireless dongle specifically for use on board.

Finally, the NS360RC (and NS360) is the only racing instrument on the market powered with only one standard AA battery which allows about 30 hours of usage. It’s installed within one minute, and does not require either a hole in the hull or maintenance.
