A Passion for development
Since its creation in 2006, Nexus Marine has achieved a leading market position offering reliable and accurate products with innovative features and designs focused on the unique requirements of the sailing yacht. Leading the research and development team is Jan Silfvén who came to Nexus from the demerger of Silva. He has over 20 years experience in marine electronics development. Added to this he is a keen sailor giving him a huge understanding of the requirements of both the racing and recreational sailor. Jan works closely with Dean Barker in the development of new products for the racing market.

Nexus maintains an active research programme and is attentive to feedback from all customers, agents, sales representatives and sailors in order to know the best way to improve their existing products and develop new ones.
The company operates both in-house and on the water testing with a view to improve the products’ performance and the development of new products, always with the intention of ensuring that they are satisfying their customers who look for advanced equipment that give safety, simplicity and improved functionality on the water.
NXR instrumentation
The NXR racing instrumentation system is the ultimate in integrated networking for sailors who demand the best. It delivers fast update speeds of 8Hz and a range of displays that allows both racing and cruising crews to select a data combination that will meet their exact requirements.
The Nexus NXR new generation enables you to monitor load cells and to make a Nexus complete integrated system for your racing boat improving your performance. The NXR new generation with the adBOX(analogue digital) and the nWIND also enables weight savings thanks to an innovative wiring technology.
Nexus VHF Radios
Nexus offer hand-held VHF Radios and a range of fixed VHF DSC Transceivers. THe NX2500 combined with the Nexus NX2600 NAVTEX Receiver and a suitable GPS can display NAVTEX messages on the radio display screen.
Silva Marine Compasses
When Silva demerged, Nexus took the responsibility for marketing the entire Silva Marine Compasses line. With a compass for any kind of boat, and any kind of mounting, including within marinised sighting binoculars, there is something for every application.
