Emergency Cutters
For on-board use Holmatro has designed a series of hydraulic cutters. These can be used to cut rod and wire rigging in case of an emergency, such as a broken mast. You can opt between three different types, a hand-operated model with integrated hydraulic pump, a battery-operated version, and a cutter with separate hydraulic hand pump and three metre hose for remote operation.
Hand Cutters
Thanks to the integrated hand pump, these emergency cutters have a very compact design. They are equipped with dedicated blades for rod or wire rigging. Holmatro’s hand-operated cutters are lightweight but powerful, and extremely easy to operate.
Battery Operated Cutters
The battery-operated emergency cutters with integrated hydraulic pump are powered by DEWALT technology. Holmatro has selected this battery brand because of its large capacity and availability all over the world. Our battery-operated model cuts rod rigging in a quick and easy manner, even when the weather conditions are bad!
Remote Cutters
Developed for remote operation, this type of emergency cutter is connected to a separate hand pump by means of a 3-metre hydraulic hose. The cutter is locked onto the rig and remains in place unattended. This enables you to cut rod rigging at a safe distance and stand back from flying ends if the rig is still under tension.
Rigging Hydraulics
Holmatro produces a range of hydraulic rigging products to help manage the ever increasing stress loads on large or high performance yachts. Holmatro hydraulic rigging gives finger touch control over rig tension and offers safety release valves in case of emergencies.
Hydraulic Backstay Tensioners
By adjusting the backstay tension, you can increase boat speed and point higher. Genoa furling becomes a lot easier. Holmatro integral adjusters (hydraulic backstay adjusters with integrated two-speed pump) enable you to alter the backstay tension accurately and quickly.
Boom Vangs
A hydraulic boom vang from Holmatro provides maximum control over your boom during sailing and when moored. It makes reefing and flaking of your mainsail easy as it also acts as a topping lift. A variety of control panels is available for easy adjustment. In combination with our quick release the vang can be dumped instantaneously.
