Hong Kong Trade Development Council Article in Hong Kong Trader
HKTDC's publication - Hong Kong Trader - features an interview with Simon Boyde, Director and founder of Storm Force Marine. The story covers Simon's decision to create Storm Force to service both Hong Kong's leisure marine market, (largely private owners and the clubs and boat yards that service them), and China's significant boat-building industry that supplies the leisure marine markets overseas.
It exemplifies the pivotal role that Hong Kong plays in the China market, both as a gateway with access to foreign suppliers and China-based boat-builders alike, and, as a marine market itself, second in Asia only to Japan, a source of knowledge and expertise and multi-lingual staff.
The business has grown strongly, and new sales representative offices have opened in Zhuhai and Weihai, with Xiamen next on the list.
