Hep2O Plastic Plumbing System
The premier flexible, push-fit plastic plumbing system
The heart of the revolutionary Hep2O system is the plastic pipe which is supplied in lengths of 25, 50 and 100 metres and is easy to store, move in bulk and install, especially in tight conditions like those inside yachts and smaller boats. Hep2O pipe requires fewer connectors and 90º bends, maximising water flow rates and reducing weak points to a minimum. Another key feature of Hep2O pipes is their resistance to impact damage, unlike metal pipes Hep2O pipes momentarily deform and then return to shape.
The innovative Hep2O push connector system means that installation is quick and easy, and pipes rotate even under pressure allowing valves to fold away for storage and pumps which swing out of inaccessible positions without being disconnected. Hep2O pipe and fittings are designed to be compatible with traditional and already existing installations, taps and accessories. The range consists of a wide range of push fit connectors, angles, manifolds and pipes in a variety of gauges, allowing for customisation and fine tuning of installations.
Hep2O uses high grade DZR brass for all its brass fittings, to eliminate corrosion and electrolytic zinc separation. The flexibility of Hep2O means it can be cabled around the interior cavities of boats and easily hidden behind bulkheads. Light in weight, Hep2O will not add unduly to the draft of the vessel. Hep2O is modular in nature allowing for full or partial installation as needs require, and is perfect for retrofitting yachts as original fixtures and fittings can easily be incorporated into a fully updated and upgraded water system.
Traditionally there are three key problems with marine plumbing installations.
- Prolonged and damaging vibration from engine and forces of sea may cause soldered or compression joints to crack or work themselves loose. The flexibility of Hep2O pipe absorbs these damaging forces, and Hep2O's jointing technology ensures a secure connection which will not come loose during its service life.
- Electrolytic corrosion may occur as a result of contact between dissimilar metals in onboard plumbing systems, and throughout a boat's construction. This can not occur with Hep2O plastic components and DZR bronze fittings.
- Even without stray electrical currents salt water is extremely corrosive to most metal plumbing systems, but has no effect on Hep2O pipe or fittings. Hep2O is perfect for use in the harsh marine environment.
