Cushions, Protectors and Fenders
When mooring or landing crew and passengers, your boat is likely to be alongside another boat or a dock. Fenders and dock protectors will prevent damage and scratching.
In addition to external dangers, your crew are at risk on your boat. Many elements of the standing rigging can hurt or cut if inadvertently brushed against, and chafe guards are a sensible way of protecting everyone on board from awkwardly-shaped parts of your boat. Chafe guards will also stop docklines and other mooring lines wearing where they are made fast.
Fenders are overwhelmingly plastic cushions with polyethylene foam cores, but traditional rope-based knotted fenders can still be obtained for those who want something appropriate for their classic yacht.
